This vivid red and cream semicircle was woven in 1980 — entirely by hand, using pure wool and the timeless Isparta technique. It was once the corner of a full carpet, holding within it a dramatic garden of oversized cream and teal floral bouquets blazing against a deep red ground. Below, an elaborate cream and gold arabesk border unfolds in sweeping scrolling vines and geometric frames — the kind of border that once framed a much grander piece.
Rather than let this corner of history disappear, we carefully cut and professionally finished the edges into this perfect half moon form — preserving every inch of the original hand-knotted field, giving it a new life at a new threshold.
For forty-five years these colors have deepened, softened and settled. The red has aged into something richer than new. The cream has warmed into gold. This is not a palette you can manufacture. This is time itself, woven into wool.
