This vivid fuchsia and cream semicircle was woven in 1980 — entirely by hand, using pure wool and the timeless Isparta technique. The upper field blazes in deep fuchsia red, carrying the ghost of a floral medallion that once lived at the heart of a much larger carpet. Below it, a cream border unfolds in sweeping navy arabesk scrolls and gold geometric stripes — the kind of border that frames palaces, not doorways.
This semicircle was cut from a larger hand-knotted carpet — rather than let this corner of history disappear, we carefully shaped and professionally finished the edges, giving it a new life at the threshold of a new home.
For forty-five years these colors have aged, softened, and settled into something no dye house could recreate. This is not a palette you manufacture. This is time itself, woven into wool.
