This rug was woven by a woman.
Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands. No two rugs were ever identical, because no two women wove the same way.
We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey — places where these pieces have rested for 40, 50, sometimes 60 years. When we find one, it begins a journey before it reaches you.
First, we shake out decades of dust. Then we carefully shear the pile — what we call "hav" in Turkish — to bring the surface back to an even, clean finish. The rug is then washed and goes through a series of restoration steps. Finally, the edges are hand-stitched to ensure it arrives in your home structurally sound and ready to use.
What you receive is not just a rug. It is a one-of-a-kind textile that survived decades, was made by someone's hands, and was carefully prepared to live another chapter — in your home.

This runner was hand-knotted in Isparta — one of Turkey's most celebrated rug-weaving cities — and dates to the 1970s-80s, making it approximately 40-50 years old.
The field is a deeply faded raspberry pink — once vivid, now worn to something softer, more complex, more beautiful than it was when it was new. At the center sits a geometric medallion in ivory and teal, precise and jewel-like against the warm pink field. Around it, scattered floral motifs in ivory and grey drift freely across the open ground — roses, leaves, botanical details placed without rigid structure, as if growing naturally. At both ends, ornate ivory border panels with scrolling botanical detail complete the composition.
The raspberry pink and ivory palette is rare in vintage Isparta rugs — warm, romantic, and completely contemporary.

Pink — especially this deeply faded, complex raspberry pink — is the color of the rose in Turkish and Persian poetic tradition.
