This dusty pink and cobalt rug was woven in 1975 — entirely by hand, using pure wool and the timeless Isparta technique. Every scrolling vine, every tiny flower, every curl of the cobalt border was knotted one thread at a time. For fifty years, it carried the warmth of a home and the quiet devotion of the hands that made it.
This rug was cut from a larger hand-knotted carpet — rather than let the piece disappear, we carefully trimmed and professionally re-finished the edges, preserving every inch of the original hand-knotted field.
The dusty pink has faded over decades into something far more beautiful than the original — soft ivory bleeding through the center and lower field, creating a natural gradient that no dye house could ever replicate. The cobalt blue border stands bold and proud, a reminder of the brilliance this rug once held. This is not a color you can manufacture. This is fifty years of sunlight, love, and time — woven into every knot.
