This warm peach and slate blue area rug was woven in 1977 — entirely by hand, using pure wool and the timeless Isparta technique. But look closely — this is not a typical Anatolian composition. At the center sits a rare Chinese-style geometric medallion — a fret meander motif wrapped in scrolling black vines — a design that speaks of trade routes and cultural crossings, of Silk Road influence absorbed into Anatolian hands.

Around the medallion, the open peach field breathes freely — scattered with small pink and green floral bouquets drifting like petals in a quiet breeze. Floral vine corners frame the composition. And a slate blue border of greek key and scrolling floral vine completes the picture — East meeting West in every knot.
For nearly fifty years this peach has aged into something extraordinary.
