This rug was woven by a woman.
Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands. No two rugs were ever identical, because no two women wove the same way.
We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey — places where these pieces have rested for 40, 50, sometimes 60 years. When we find one, it begins a journey before it reaches you.
First, we shake out decades of dust. Then we carefully shear the pile — what we call "hav" in Turkish — to bring the surface back to an even, clean finish. The rug is then washed and goes through a series of restoration steps. Finally, the edges are hand-stitched to ensure it arrives in your home structurally sound and ready to use.
What you receive is not just a rug. It is a one-of-a-kind textile that survived decades, was made by someone's hands, and was carefully prepared to live another chapter — in your home.

This runner was hand-knotted in Isparta — one of Turkey's most celebrated rug-weaving cities — known for fine knotting, precise geometric compositions, and the enduring quality of their Anatolian wool.
The field is a soft, faded ivory cream — luminous and open, worn beautifully over decades. Across every inch flows a dense all-over geometric floral lattice: interlocking diamond forms filled with small botanical motifs in warm brown and golden tan. There is no border — the pattern simply reaches the edges and stops, giving the rug a clean, contemporary quality that works beautifully in modern neutral interiors.
The two-tone palette of ivory and warm brown gives this piece a quiet, refined elegance — understated, versatile, and deeply warm.

✦ THE MEANING BEHIND THE PATTERN
The geometric floral lattice on this runner is one of the oldest design vocabularies in Anatolian weaving. Each interlocking diamond is a lozenge — a protective form in Turkish folk tradition, believed to create order and ward off harm. When these forms repeat across the entire length of a runner, they create an unbroken path of protection from one end of the hallway to the other.
