This rug was woven by a woman.
Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands. No two rugs were ever identical, because no two women wove the same way.

We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey — places where these pieces have rested for 40, 50, sometimes 60 years. When we find one, it begins a journey before it reaches you.

First, we shake out decades of dust. Then we carefully shear the pile — what we call "hav" in Turkish — to bring the surface back to an even, clean finish. The rug is then washed and goes through a series of restoration steps. Finally, the edges are hand-stitched to ensure it arrives in your home structurally sound and ready to use.
What you receive is not just a rug. It is a one-of-a-kind textile that survived decades, was made by someone's hands, and was carefully prepared to live another chapter — in your home.

This rug was hand-knotted in Isparta — one of Turkey's most celebrated rug-weaving cities — and dates to 1978, making it approximately 45 years old. Isparta rugs are known for their fine knotting, graceful floral compositions, and the enduring quality of their Anatolian wool.

The field is a soft, faded ivory white — clean and luminous, with a gentle warmth that comes from decades of natural aging. Across this pale ground, repeating floral medallions are arranged in a vertical composition — each medallion a carefully balanced gathering of botanical blooms, scrolling vines, and leaf details rendered in soft gold, warm grey, and brown.

The medallions are connected by flowing vine tendrils that give the entire composition a sense of organic rhythm — as if the pattern is quietly growing rather than simply repeating.
